Boxing

Joshua is 20 fights in and fought better fighters than Wilder. People are going off Joshua’s last performance but did anyone watch Wilder vs Washington? Wilder was getting outboxed with ease for 5 rounds til he started windmilling. What makes it an interesting fight is that they are both big hitters and both very vulnerable in certain areas. I’d lean towards Joshua beating Wilder at this point. 2019 will be a great year for dust ups in the heavyweight division.

Fury would be stupid to return to a high profile fight. He needs to have a warm up or two before he fights Wilder or Joshua imo.

Yep. Not reckless pressure but impose his size difference. I think Wilder can be caught clean easily - most on his record are journeyman and/or squat little fat guys ready to be bowled over. If I were Joshua, I'd keep a high guard but walk him down, put him on the back foot and look for the overhand right from the first bell.

AJ has a 40lb advantage in weight which is quite substantial

AJ is levels above Wilder.

Can't believe how much hype this KO against a fat, out of shape, untrained, 39 yo who was never that good in the first place has garnered.

Wilder would definitely lose to Joshua and Klitschko, think he'd struggle against Whyte as well.
to say either AJ or wilder is levels above either man is idiotic. There is nothing to base Joshua being levels above wilder or vice versa . Both are entertaining but both are very flawed .

Joshua has been wobbled a few times and sat on his arse by a 41 year old Vladimir

Buster Douglas knocked out Iron Mike mate, that's heavyweight boxing.

Wobbled by Whyte and sat on his arsenal by one of the best right hands the division has seen. The klitchsko fight proved he had a chin not the other way round.

Again Wilder was rocked by Eric Molina.

They are both still pretty green in their careers. I wouldn’t say the is much in it between them either.

I know Wilder is close to 40 fights now(or that rematch was his 40th) but they’ve not had time to develop the way they should, at this stage in their careers. With them both having super power, they’ve made short work of there oppenants. They should be completing more rounds, having tougher fights. Sadly, with them knocking people out with ease, they’ve not had time to develop real boxing skills. It’s alright doing it in the gym, but matters in the ring. People seem to forget that about the two of them. That’s why I’d tip a fully fit, motivated Tyson Fury to beat the two of them. He’s had time to learn his craft in the ring. He’s been able to go under the media rader, learn his craft and not had the pressure off fans to knock everyone out in 4. If Joshua doesn’t knock people out inside 4, it’s oh he gassed to easy, he’s stiff, he’s not very good etc. Fury never had that type of pressure on him, in his career. Tyson had some tough fights earlier on in his career too. The McDermott fights(lost the first one) the two with Chisora, fights against the likes of Martin Rogan, Kevin Johnson and Steve Cunningham. He learnt an awful lot in those fights. Wilder and Joshua haven’t had that due to them blitzing fighters. People forget that Wilder had already been to the olympics, had his first pro fight prior to Joshua even starting amateur boxingTyson Fury, the same. Gonna be an exciting next two years.

It's all getting a bit tribal about a fight that hasn't been made, for me AJ is favourite, superior amateur, fought better pros and won straps a lot quicker than wilder, also more skilled than wilder. But Wilder can bang and has more than a decent chance, plus like AJ v Kilt, we are getting two athletes and not a gut in sight, all too rare in the heavyweight division, it really is a mouthwatering clash, like I side I would lean towards AJ, plus despite the 'I'm from the streets' stuff from wilder, I actually think AJ is the tougher and deep down meaner guy, belting fight either way, two big hitters, and plenty of weak points in both

Joshua would be favourite for me, definitely.

Wilder is a bum, he throws hooks like he’s doing the front crawl. That being said, if he chins AJ it could well be goodnight.

Both of them get schooled by the gypsy king. I’LL FIGHT YOU IN YA BACK GARDEN.
