Boxing

Exactly, wilder only windmills when his opponent is hurt and dazed.
Wilders jab look lethal, so long fast and snappy then that accurate straight right that came from the other side of the ring would hurt any heavyweight

Wilder v Joshua is a 50/50, who ever lands flush first will likely win

Wilder was a very good amatuer, Olympic bronze medalist. He can clearly box. He fell in love with his own power and forgot the basics.

What i saw in the first round on Saturday was him using his jab again, and it was razor sharp

I'd say that is stretching his amateur career somewhat, i remember him as an amateur, he was decent, but very rough around the edges

that jab will cause anyone problems

If Joshua weighs in at 18 stone plus, he may be too slow and will gas out Vs Wilder, I'd lean towards Wilder if Joshua comes into their fight that heavy

The problem Wilder will have with Joshua is that he can't really box and will be forced on the back foot early. He then has to catch Joshua with something clean whilst under pressure or get flattened, as he has no defence to speak of.

It'll be one of those Joshua early or Wilder late kind of affairs. I lean heavily to Joshua early - Wilder got badly, badly rocked by Molina, who hits half as hard as Joshua IMO and was dealt with by Joshua with ease. Wilder's only chance in my eyes is landing something flush early or showing hitherto unknown defensive skills and dragging it into the middle rounds.

do you seriously think Joshua will put the pressure on early against someone who can punch like wilder ? Not for me .

Yep. Not reckless pressure but impose his size difference. I think Wilder can be caught clean easily - most on his record are journeyman and/or squat little fat guys ready to be bowled over. If I were Joshua, I'd keep a high guard but walk him down, put him on the back foot and look for the overhand right from the first bell.

Wilder will destroy him mate, he'll expose the slightly suspect chin and floor him. It'll be an explosive fight and Joshua will of course have a decent chance if he lands clean, but I think Wilder is an animal personally and he'll make Joshua look like the Frank Bruno replica that we saw in rounds 6-10 vs Klitchsko, only he won't run out of steam........

AJ is levels above Wilder.

Can't believe how much hype this KO against a fat, out of shape, untrained, 39 yo who was never that good in the first place has garnered.

Wilder would definitely lose to Joshua and Klitschko, think he'd struggle against Whyte as well.

Don't agree mate, but we're sure to find out. They'll undoubtedly meet at some point next year.

why? that's all Joshua has been banging out, plus a few Latvian electricians.

Molina rocked Wilder, Eric bloody Molina.

Where has the idea that Joshua has got a suspect chin from?

never going to happen, far too much to lose for Hearn
It will happen, as it'll be the biggest payday ever for Hearn. He'll try and get another couple of paydays out of him before hand though imo, which is why he's pushing for Fury to chuck off 7 stone in 3 months lol and then I could see him chucking him against Haye before the Wilder fight late next year.
