Boxing

After Rabchenko wins on Saturday and as WBC No 1 Contender, Mayweather will be ordered to give him a shot or vacate the title, the latter of which he will.

So expect a bout in April/May vs Alvarez or Cotto for Rab.

Anyone catch Donaire vs Darchinyan on Saturday night?

Great battle, Donaire stopping Vic Darchinyan in the 9th. Very good front-foot boxing from both, would love to see one of them take Frampton on in a year or two.

Still a big gulf in class away from Rigondeux though.

Would definitely recommend people to tune into BoxNation next Saturday (16th).

3 excellent fighters from Ricky Hatton's stable on the Bill.

Sonny Upton making his Pro debut.

Ryan Burnett hoping for a 4th consecutive stoppage victory.

and top of the bill is European Champion Sergey Rabchenko, who is one or two fights away from a World Title attempt.

Later on that night, Andre Ward boxes in the States.

Busy :)

Just watched the fight, wasnt all that impressed with Donaire to be honest, maybe the rigondeux fight has dented his confidence, might be hope for Frampton if he can bring enough to the table to tempt Donaire, because he has no chance against rigondeux

Former heavyweight world champion Mike Tyson has claimed that he fought while high on cocaine and even used a fake penis to trick drug testers.

The 47-year-old makes the sensational claims in his new autobiography 'The Undisputed Truth' where he describes in detail how he first tried cocaine when he was just 11 years old and even used the substance before one of his fights.

"The history of war is the history of drugs. Every great general and warrior from the beginning of time was high," writes Tyson before explaining how he became a "full-blown cokehead".

Tyson claims that he spent much of his career addicted to cocaine and marijuana, admitting that he took drugs before his shock loss to Londoner Danny Williams back in July 2004 in Louisville.

Four years earlier he had tested positive for marijuana after defeating Andrew Golota and subsequently had his boxing licence suspended. He donated $200,000 to various charities and was back in the ring less than a year later.

But it seems that was not Tyson's only indiscretion in 2000 as he admits to using a fake penis to avoid failing a drugs test before his bout with Lou Savarese at Hampden Park in June 2000.

The native New Yorker says he took "blow" and "pot" before the fight and then filled his "whizzer" - what he uses to describe his fake penis - with someone else's urine.

Tyson even suggests that the reason he did eventually fail a drugs test was because the member of his entourage whose job it was to carry the "whizzer" failed to hand it over to him.

The former unified heavyweight champion also goes on to reveal how he took cocaine before his now-notorious press conference with Lennox Lewis back in January 2002.

Tyson unleashed a tirade of abuse on the Brit and even managed to bite him on the leg as security tried to break the pair up.

"I lost my mind," writes Tyson. "I looked over at him and wanted to hit the mother****r."

Tyson, who still holds the record as the youngest boxer to win the WBC, WBA and IBF heavyweight titles, has been through years of rehab for his various addictions

"I'm a bad guy. I did a lot of bad things and I want to be forgiven. I want to change my life. I want to live my life sober," said Tyson. "I don't want to die. I'm on the verge of dying because I'm a vicious alcoholic."

Despite his troubles since retiring from boxing back in 2005, Tyson has enjoyed success away from the sport appearing in hit film The Hangover and going on to star in his own one-man Broadway show.

Cracking idea

Him losing to Rigondeux was really no suprise. Rigondeux actually didn't look all that great in previous fights (because of his defensive style) so its was probably easy to take him lightly and that's a bad matchup for him. Vic on the other hand, Donaire would have smoked him in 2 rounds a couple years ago. Though I had him leading by 1 when he knocked him out he defo didn't look like the same fighter. He doesn't look like wants to fight anymore.

This, its affected him, you take that left hook away from donaire and you've got a great chance, easier said than done of course, there are very few rigondeux's about, if I were Frampton, I'd be looking for this fight now, I would'nt make him favourite, but there's no shame in losing to a risk, Mcguigan should get Framton working on his jab 24/7 because Vic really had him struggling that area. Quigg is obviously a far easier belt mind, I see Frampton beating him, but Doniare has definately lost something, at least for the time being after being beat

anyone watching the Anthony Joshua fight tonight? The lad is a beast and can hit hard. I also think he has the right amount of arrogance about him. Focused.

the fat boys go at tonight in prizefighter as well, James Toney included. Joshua is a real talent, scary thing is he only took up boxing four years ago, he's still learning, and has a massive scope for improvement, for someone to be an olympic champ and world silver medalist fours years into the sport is astonishing. Given how well he comes across on camera its hard to believe he was off the rails when he started, boxing is a sport that saves lives, in the areas of the country were very few other things have the ability to.

I didnt know that! Good luck to him. Hopefully he will become a real champ. Seen a little interview saying he wants to be 5-0 by christmas!

he staying busy that's for sure, needs to lay off the weights like, and because he's blasting the oppo we may have to wait to see him through some real combo's and have his chin and stamina really tested, but he's just what the heavyweights need, we could use a few more though
