yeh the ref probably would even have let it go on longer if it wasnt for the eye.
his corner should have pulled him out earlier
 
Blackwell was one tough brave fker . Really hope he pulls through . Too much heart for his own good .

He looked good yes, but I was a bit surprised by how small he looked at the weight, sounds like he'll go for one more before going near Kovalev.

I know it was a mandatory but that was a truly awful card matchroom put on last night.

What channel was the Eubank fight on, hope Blackwell makes a full recovery.

channel 5 the Eubank fight .

The matchroom card was awful but that's to be expected . The ibf and there awful mandatorys didn't help and matchroom have cards for the next 3 weeks as well.

He did look small (ward) at the weight but he took care of a tough opponent in style with hardly any ring rust .

Channel 5. Think Hennesy has a contract with them.

Matchroom have been taking the piss for ages now, needs a boycott of one their snide PPV's to let him know.

Oh I was impressed mate, no doubt, I fancy him to beat Kovalev handy enough by ud tbh, a lot is made of Kovalevs power, its great don't get me wrong, but its the accumulation of punches, like twice with Pascal that seem to take its toll rather than the one punch KO power.

Just don't see him being able to get to Ward anywhere near enough for that to happen. Its still a great bout, here's hoping we see it before the years end.

that's it . Kovalev is ruthless In systematicly breaking down his opponent but will ward let him get near him often enough to get worn down ? I can't see it . Kovalev is a better boxer than MOST people will give him credit for though.

It makes for a cracking fight . I can't pick who I want to win I like them both . Ward because he is just perfection in every way and kovalev is just a ruthless evil man lol

As obnoxious as he is the Watson fight killed Eubank as a fighter.
I did however notice that his son didn't listen to him, and carried on unloading on Blackwells head.

Not blaming Jr at all, he's a fighter trying to knock someone out but for sure Blackwell's corner should've pulled him, and the referee was letting a lot go for one hopeful return from Blackwell so has to shoulder a bit as well.

Not as much as his corner who knew his guts and bravery would never let him quit, they should've taken the decision out of anyone else's hands.
 
Weird sport to me boxing.

Used to quite enjoy it, Benn, Mcguigan, Eubank eras were sound.

But now being a bit older, would be horrified if my kids went into it.

Brave lads the pros mind.
