Probably a good idea from Hearn to take Joshua down the path of least resistance to a 'world' title (although let's be honest, Martin really is a big a 'Paper Champ' as they come).
But he's a big unit and a southpaw at that, so he could still offer Joshua some problems, especially if Joshua's defensive frailties against Whyte is anything to go by. Will be interesting to see how Joshua's chin holds up if he gets caught from a big left hook / cross. Whyte has already proven he can be wobbled.
Win this and I reckon we'll see Joshua in a couple of 'preferable' mandatory defences this side of Xmas before a big unification in 2017 with Wilder / Fury (if they still hold their belts), and no doubt Haye will be sniffing around too
