Boxing

So you have to have experience in a sport to comment on it?

Played much premier league football then mate?
I dont commentate on it for a living, i played plenty, and you can always tell the difference when you are talking to someone who has played the sport rather than being just an observer, theres a level of ignorance that you can detect, hencd why most ufc fans are quite rightly treated like wwf fans

Are you suggesting that Watt sounds like someone who hasn't boxed and is just an uninformed observer?

Yep, used to be okay when he had ian darke to reign him in, but alongside the dreadful nick halling its a terrible combo, watt is still okay outside of fights talking about boxing but his views during the fight are as if he has made his mind up beforehand and will shape his commentry to that. Plenty of good younger pundits about, time for jim to be let go

spot on . I feel sorry for him with his kids both dying but he is an awful commentator and galling is as bad

The ibf are a joke . They are going to make fury vacate the belt after a week if he refuses the mandatory vs glascov . Yet he has to honour the rematch clause first so his hands are tied . It's a joke
I'm not sure he does, there was talk of an 'easy' defence before the rematch straight after the fight, so maybe he should take that to keep loose and then fight wlad in a stadium next summer?

That was the talk but the ibf have other ideas . I hate the politics of boxing .
