how much did he earn for the fight?
About £2m i think.
My views differ from most. I think that he was being incredibly disrespectful to Senchenko, who is a good, solid fighter, though not anything special. For Hatton to come out after 3.5 years of abusing his body, even after the abuse it had took between any fight, is for me, disrespectful of the sport and the opponent. He needed some sharpening fights, one or two, to get his eye back in, to gain that split second of speed of defense/response.
Froch wasn't too enamoured with the whole return either. He said something along the lines of, yes, he may beat Senchenko, but where does he go from there? CAuse he would be destroyed by Khan or Brook. I would have to agree with hi entirely here, at Hattons age, there is no way he could step into the ring with even the best British boxers, never mind world, so, with that in mind, where was he going to go next?
I know a lad who sold his car in order to follow Hatton to Vegas, he was skint for ages, sold his car and quit his job cause they wouldn't give him the time off, and flew to Vegas. Hatton was so gutted about the defeat he used the money from his fight to go on a bender............... How does he get thanked for that? Nice on lad, thanks for that. BTW if you can't afford a ticket for my comeback fight, pay £15 you bum. I think it's disgusting that his comeback fight was PPV, really really annoys me.
