Boxing

People overestimate the value of beating Wilder. The guy is a donkey of a boxer.

Fury's best win was Klitschko. But while he certainly has the ability to box his way to a 12 round win over Joshua, it's not as set as stone as many believe as Joshua hits hard and Fury is vulnerable.

Unlike Wilder, Joshua can box, fight on the inside and can throw straight power shots.

A proper 50/50 fight I think.
Spot on.

Never seen a fighter take a string of uppercuts like that before. As a fighter if you take 1 good uppercut you move away as fast as. That lad just stood there taking them and they caused the damage. He was durable but never had anything to trouble Joshua. Great right hand to finish though

I remember Eubank Jr. doing similar to Nick Blackwell and ending his career/nearly his life.

Not a shot you want to take too many of.

Think 26 quid is a bit steep for this... On my second bottle of wine so would probably fall asleep anyway

26 quid? That's ridiculous but it shows how those prices can eventually become the norm - PPV football isn't dead yet, merely resting.

I was watching on a dodgy-box, no way I'd be paying close to that....not even for Fury v AJ. If I paid for a supposedly premium sports channel I'd not put PPV on top.

Wilder can't box, but you have to stay on your toes the whole fight because there hasn't been any fighter over say the past 20 years w/ his kind of 1 punch power.

Anyone gonna watch smith v canelo tonight.

Theres not a chance smith wins on points. Not over there.

The odds for Smith are far too long though.

I know how good Canelo is of course, but Smith is a very big, talented, hard-hitting natural super-middleweight. He was crap against Ryder but he clearly took it for granted - in the only big fight he's really had, George Groves, he was a different animal.

He can't win on points as you say, but there's a decent chance of him stopping Canelo late on.

I don't think he will, Canelo on points I think, but there's a better chance than the odds suggest.

Im hoping for a late stoppage

6ft 3 v 5ft 9

78 inch reach v 70 1/2 inch reach

those stats would make you think there's only 1 clear winner

people say smith has no chance on points but if he just jabs all fight and keeps canelo at bay he easily wins on points

6/1 suddenly looks good

canelo will have to go for the body i guess

I remember Smith breaking onto the Matchroom undercards at the Echo about 8-9 years ago now as a sprightly 21-year-old. Can't quite believe that he's still managing to fight at 168lbs when he's 6'3" and 30 years old - let's hope the sizable physical advantage will be enough to close the gap between him and a phenomenal talent.
