2 midtable finishes will see him sacked.

Stand on me.

Pfffft!.

I can imagine the announcement:

"Everton's manager has been relieved of his duties today. Though Mr Martinez amassed Everton's best PL points record and finished comfortably in midtable for the following two seasons - building a powerful squad of young players and playing the club's best football in a generation - it was felt by the Everton board of directors that it was best to now try another direction as they turn to Eddie Howe the manager of recently relegated Bournemouth."

FFS.

It's ludicrous.

Two more years at least please, Roberto. See this five year plan out and crack on from there.

Not that anyone would think the events of the league game could be revisited but this has the smell of a high scoring draw about it. Partly because we are Everton and everyone is positively basking in the recent frugality of our defence and partly because of Martinez and his 'set out to score goals' mentality which was truly kyboshed by Pulis last week.
Dare I say 3-3....?

"Oh and just in case anyone was thinking of buying the club we decided to add some turmoil so you would be more inclined to see us as a good risk"

Spot on mate. Imagine the new lot if they do come in:

"Right, that feller who can guarantee PL tv cash for us...he'll have to go. We'll take a chance on someone else...it's only £200M. What could go wrong?"

Pfffft!
