I’m from Liverpool and still live there, I work away, always have done.
I grew up in the district of Everton which is part of the City Centre of Liverpool.
Right by the Tower on Everton’s crest / Logo.
l’ve gone posh now though, I live across the City in a place called Crosby, quite close to the river.

Hands up if you knew Lizards lay on branches and twigs while sunbathing, don’t lie because I’ll know. To be honest I didn’t, I thought it was just rocks they lay on. Surprised to see this.

The Night Demon...


I was actually looking for spiders late last night, but there were none to seen (was hoping for an early orb weaver of some sort) so no luck there, but I did find a wasp on the apple tree. Not sure what wasps usually do at night - or where they normally go (to sleep?) but she was quite a way inside the branches of the tree which meant some cropping required (and some aggressive NR to keep the background under control). Came out pretty well in the end but she is one of our more feared insects, and not one I like to meet by day, let alone as a night demon...

That looks like Blackthorn or Hawthorn to me. Beautiful picture, my mum lived in Somerset, where was this taken?

That looks like Blackthorn or Hawthorn to me. Beautiful picture, my mum lived in Somerset, where was this taken?

On a lane between Heytesbury, Tytherington and Corton. All strictly within Wiltshire but my journey there crosses and re crosses the Somerset border several times.
