About 120 in a tree , eating away at the berries
Once they strip a tree they move on
Not native to U.K. Or Ireland, only get them from Europe when weather is very cold there

We met some birders who got a call to say they were west of Lucan ( where Lord Lucan was Lord of)
We drove in convoy and gathered under two berry trees
The locals thought we were paparazzi

There's been a few sightings this year due to the cold air on the continent
They've been knocking around estates and shopping centres but it's catching up with them that's tricky, especially as there's only one big group. Once they strip a tree, holly, yew etc they move on. Like beautiful crested birds locusts.
Tip, never park under them, their excrement is purple and acidic!
