Rio yes. At the top of sugar loaf mountain. Was travelling round South America. Got loads of simelar sick pictures all took on an iPod.

I finally had a day where the sun shone a little bit more than of late, but still the wind that accompanied it was gusty and cool. Managed to find a couple of subjects other than these two.

Anyway - I spotted a movement on the branch of the apple tree and tried to get a shot of what turned out to be the first shield bug I have seen this year - and the first was a grab shot hence not at all sharp. But this male was in a hurry. I have no idea how he knew where to go, but 12 inches above him on a leaf was a female, who quite clearly turned out to be waiting for this romeo!

So he scooted up at a rapid rate of knots in pursuit of his nookie - and boy did he enjoy himself once he got there...

Nothing from me in ages, finally lost me job so some spare time to get on with photos.

First visit with my boys to Poole Pirates Speedway. Poole Pirates are one of the best teams in Europe and have been the elite league champions in 2011, 2013 and 2014 and have won 11 major trophies since 2001. Not bad for a small Dorset Town. Great time was had by all.
