Booing

Forum members of a certain age will remember going 0-2 down to Sheffield Wed at Wembley and the same v Wimbledon at Goodison.Just thankful that our present 'support' wasn't at those games.

So you’re comparing a fantastic team to a relegation threatened team, what does that prove??

And FYI, the Wimbledon game was a cauldron at full time. If we went down I think Goodison would have been burnt to the ground and Johnson buried under it

I tend to agree. When supporters used to single out the likes of Stones and Barkley it diminished their confidence and made them play worse.

However, if fans are dissatisfied then of course they should be able to vent that frustration at full-time with a bit of booing.

In the Gareth Farrelly interview we did for GOT TV, he told me about a game at Goodison where he missed a chance and got loads of stick. He heard everything and knew the fans were wanting him to get off. He said he just tried to carry on but it evidently didn’t help.

Supporters pay for entertainment. If it’s as dire as it has been recently then we deserve our money back, or what are we paying for? We certainly aren’t paying for entertainment. Football is an entertainment business as the end of the day. They get paid millions a year, we are allowed to boo.

To be honest I don’t remember everyone cheering the team against Wimbledon. Can’t say for 1966.

The fans by me were pretty toxic in the Gwladys Street against Wimbledon.

Still chance for the board to get a real manager in within the next 10 days. Dreaming I know.

Diabolical appointment and it showed from day 1. Only game we played good in the last 2 months was when Unsworth was in charge and we won 4:0 vs West Ham. Allardyce needs booing and booting out of the club as soon as possible.

I only chose this username when I registered here because at the time I thought it was either "laugh or cry" about his appointment. It's not funny any more though. Gutted.
