It’s half closed isn’t it? Walking into town a Saturday? Are you MAD?
I've been called worse Bry 😉

I read it's part of the revamp for Mersey rail upto the networks expansion by 2035.

Hopefully it's part of the plan to include stadium traffic in the near future.

Anyways , that area in Town would be great for a meet & a drink on a Saturday / Sunday.

For me, I currently park in the car park on Anfield Road, I don’t mind paying having had my rear window smashed in for no reason on street parking.

There is no public transport from High Lane, Stockport - I could bus it to Stockport, then train to Liverpool, but there are no returns, other than on Saturday at 15:00 kick off. I could get there but not get back. Will involve about 3 hours travelling in each direction, given the poor transport, when it is feasible.

I’ll have to drive to somewhere and park up, then either hike miles or get public transport, with which I have no idea of availability etc.

LCC have all but made it impossible for me.
we/the club/LCC must make public transport the easiest option so people will take it, but they must also recognise that for some, the only option is a car.

Yes, seems for me as I drive a long way for the games i will be finding the closest place I can park and then a long walk. I normally park at Walton hall training ground and walk to goodison in 20ish mins. I'd be happy doing a 45 mins fast walk but haven't decided where that puts me. I can do Goodison to BMD in 45 mins, but best place to park in the 45 min walk arc is TBD...

By putting an embargo on the entire north of the city surrounding both grounds the only parking will be city centre, I'm fine with the walk there but aren't we all trying to keep cars out of city centres?

Same here, and I don’t think we are the only ones.
Will be interesting how it all works out, I'm sure we will all find a new routine that suits us. I'm spending way to much time on street view trying to find suitable 'secret'places to park, probably with 30,000 other folk! Definitely don't want to go anywhere near the rammed city center, quickest route away from stadium and onto the M62 for me.

I'll probably get myself in to town, unless I'm already in town of course, and then get the footy bus. Can see myself walking back into town after the match in the warmer months, it'll possibly be quicker than waiting to get on a bus and sitting in the traffic..

If like me you live north of the City just get the train and walk. If it's chocker afterwards just have a bevy

sadly I don't mate, I'm south of the river in woolsville. Weekends games are fine, I'll be on the train. even midweek 7:30 kick offs I might risk it bit an 8pm kickoff or cup game that may go extra time/pens is car only territory.

If I'm taking my arl fella, even though he has a blue badge we would need to be fairly close in as he cant walk far now.
