Blue Bill

Should have been given a knighthood in the recent honours list.

Devalued enough already BUT he is a true blue and attends far more games than I do (or can)

I've always maintained that Kenwright was a limited owner with good intentions. Although he presided over quite a few misjudgments and outright financial howlers, his tenure has not been a failure. In the end, his passion for Everton has finally been rewarded and he has managed to put us on the path to a bright future. We're now in a far better situation than we were when he joined and I have to thank Bill for that. I just hope he gracefully bows out soon and rides off into that blue sunset to enjoy the fruits of his labor.

If he's as big a blue as he makes out to be then I bear him no ill will as I'd imagine he's about killed himself mentally anyways trying to keep things rolling along and I can understand why he hangs around like a creepy uncle...it'd be tough for me to let go too. I don't know the guy though and never will.

He's fronted EFC for what seems like forever but I still can't work out what he actually brings to the club.

Definitely not a fan of the man. That video of him way back in 2007 pushing for the move to Kirkby by telling us Goodison will soon lose it's safety certificate sums him up.

Least successful chairmen in the history of the club. Only ever appeared at the good times such as Europa league and couldn't get him off Granada reports etc, then nowhere to be seen at the dodgy times. 'Watch this space' and absolutely nothing happening summed him up completely. Wanted some limelight and nothing to back it up.

In these times of mind-boggling transfers into the club I thought I would like to say a word of thanks to our Chairman. Bill has had a lot of stick off Evertonians during his tenure. Bill himself always said he was waiting for the right investor. Well it was certainly worth the wait! Who could have envisaged BMD and this transfer activity 18 months ago? OK, getting Ron and Walshy might be more down to Mosh than Bill, but who bought Mosh to the club?

So, thank you, Mr Chairman. I for one knew you'd get it right in the end and I see the Mighty Everton soon being right back up there where we belong!

Good post that, I was actually thinking of posting something like that myself, its a very valid point. Without Bill Kenwright there is no chance we would be an ever present in the Premier League, one of about 6? Considering the size of the other 5 that really is a achievement from the "foundation" he took over.
Yes we did dangle over the abyss a few times and the Kirby idea was a shocker but truth is we came out the other side of his era and only a small number of clubs have a brighter looking future.
When i heard him talk at Howard Kendalls funeral it was only then I really understood how much Everton means to him, he did make a few mistakes but he was never going to let us down.
