It's complicated because you have wealthy benefactors sending protestors around the country like groupies, but I wouldn't say the issue is garbage or not real.

I wouldn't say its a non issue either, but I would say that the BLM group themselves are doing more harm than good with the way they go about doing things. Different approach is needed, and plenty of detractors of the group often quote the way MLK went about things instead.

In an issue about race I don't think it's wildly ridiculous to mention race....

Which arguments of his swayed you in particular? Or were you already anti BLM and found a black guy to make it feel okay to say?

There's a lad what used to live by me become one of them 'swampy' types. Seen him on the telly at the Barton Moss site with the rest of the unwashed, protesting about the fracking (Which I agree with btw).

Thing is, the little monkey head used to think he was an 'enforcer' for his loan-shark & copper's-nark of an arl fella. Beating up on the vulnerable. He's also had a load of his 'mates' over for dough as well. I'd have grassed him right up to the rest of them if I'd been there after slapping him about (again).

So rather than answer my question you simply ask me one in return, either because you couldn't be bothered to watch the video or because you couldn't find anything to take issue with.

Black people's lives matter a whole bunch, just the same as any other colour person's life. The actions of the group called 'Black Lives Matter' though are highly questionable at times, as the video shows, and you're demonstrating rather well that there's plenty of people who quickly jump on you if you dare to question them.

The history of black men in America is enslavement, disenfranchisement, oppression, harassment, and being shot (at.) I doubt a few overzealous protestors are doing much harm.

And while I am hesitant to believe that many #woke white people have awakened to the reality of racism in America, BLM has made this a conversation like never before in my lifetime, so that's a positive benefit.

My 2 cents.

The black lives matter is a genuine cause originated in America where black lives are treated differently. There is so many examples of black people being killed unnecessarily by police force when a similar white situation would end up without a casualty. But there is plenty more beyond that. I remember davenport chappelle or Chris rock telling a story where the media reported a white girl being kidnapped and at the same time a black girl had been kidnapped and the media ignored thst story. More so that the black girl actually fought back and escaped but no one media wise focused on it. They had preferential treatment to the skin colour.

Now this campaign has spread over here it is a bit of a joke. I fully back the cause in America but attitudes are different here. Skin colour isn't a major issue apart from areas sadly like sport. Away from that right now Muslims are the ones persecuted by ignorant people and yet people turn blind eye.

All lives matter. I just don't agree that a genuine cause should be piggy backed and therefore lost its direction over here.

To be fair, it was police unjustly shooting black men and children that gave rise to BLM.
