Black Friday is a load of old cobblers, pumped up prices discounted on end of life products to tempt the foolish to part ways with their hard earned cash.

Cyber Monday however is an absolute treasure trove of bargains

Do you still get hoards of people going to big stores on Black Friday ? I remember about ten years ago you would see videos of crowds rushing somewhere like Walmart and having ruckuses over who got the discounted TVs. Also there would be videos of store managers hyping up their work team before opening the doors as if they were about to go to war lol

Is that still a thing or do stores not bother so much anymore as everyone now looks for deals online ?

There’s a really good South Park episode about Black Friday and this exact aspect of it. It’s probably about 10 years old as well.

I have only bought two things. A 95/96 home shirt with Speed 10 on the back and a 1990 Malta home shirt from a vintage shirts shop. 20% off but still expensive. Old football shirts are the only thing I spend silly money on though.

Someone emailed in asking for a black Friday offer in our shop. I replied back with a coupon that added a tenner.

She didn't see the funny side and now I'm waiting on the bad review she said I'm getting and she's going to name me so the manager can see.

I shouldn't work in customer service.
