Bitter Truths

So I'm a kopite now because I decided to be realistic for once? My Twitter timeline is full of blues moaning constantly we're not where Southampton/United are purely based on last season. It's unrealistic to want that with the squad we have (and the squad this forum has slated all season) at the moment.

Apologies for having a different opinion to the masses, it won't happen again.

The squad is fine, its mostly the same squad from last season, minus Geri, plus Eto'o(barely), Lennon and Besic.

The tactics on the other hand leave a LOT to be desired.

You're welcome to your opinion and you shouldn't put off expressing it, if people don't agree with you then take it on the chin, but if your opinion remains the same then you're not wrong, you just have a different opinion.

Quite frankly there's a lot of fachtions developing at the moment, it's fascinating to watch.

We won't get relegated, not because we're going to get any better, but the teams below us are just too bad to overhaul a 6 point gap with our superior goal difference. This season is a total capitulation in the league but if by some miracle we win the Europa league, then this would top '95 and then I'd probably regret voting Martinez out last night!

Come on Bobby, turn it around!

Bitter truth Moyes is twice the manager Martinez will ever be.

Sometimes the truth is definitely bitter, 5th-7th was taken for granted and lack of progress was becoming hated well now we're being forced to celebrate the potential to finish 12th.

Welcome to the new Wiganised Everton, soon we'll be hearing how great a job Martinez is doing keeping Everton up.

He deserves a better job he's got Everton in 12th! Full Wiganization is approaching.

We won't even finish 12th at this rate. We take this for granted.

...and apart from realising the unique footballer Naisy is, Bobby also (and correctly) always selects Timmy (Secretary of Defence) Howard, and Gazza Bazza (the bedrock of our team). For all those who think Bobby is doing the wrong thing I say (as does my colleague @davek )you are bedwetting plotters. Bobby has this people...have faith

Three great players and rightly first on the team sheet

and all the squads moyes had were better than the ones martinez won the FA Cup with. trophies determine how good a manager is, not how many times he's avoided relegation.

Will be expecting the RS to dump Rodgers for McLeish or Strachan sometime soon then.

I dont think the tactics are that bad, maybe the player selection is more of a problem. We are keeping the ball well at the start of matches and controling the play, but when someone finally grows the balls to make a forward pass into the final third there is noone with enoughh quality or vision to make things happen in the hole.

We have Naismith as our creative hub ffs, we need a creative midfielder.

I want some clever players playing for Everton like Pienaar in his prime, someone who can buy a foul or open up space with a clever pass or flick. We don't have that at the moment, we just have players like Lennon and McGeady who are straight line runners with no final ball.
