You don’t seem a very trusting soul Woolly...which is probably an excellent way to avoid getting embroiled in a ponzi scheme like bitcoin!

When it comes to finances, especially when they relate to words on the internet, I take it all with a pinch of salt.
In a very modest way, I've looked after my finances myself for ages and often smile at the obvious bull written by some online.

For example, I've had a small number of shares in a Chinese based biotech for five plus years and there's a guy who posts on three finance bulletin boards who contradicts himself across boards on a regular basis. Obviously this is something I subtly point out to him occasionally just to annoy him !

Generally, when it comes to "get rich quick" schemes, it's amazing how many people will line up and want to believe in something. Not only that, when it fails ( and the majority do ), then they'll be first in line for the next "opportunity". Peoples greed is preyed upon online all the time.

Mind you, the idea behind cryptocurrencies is sound, but whether or not the valuation put on it is sound is debatable. Chances are one day, it'll fall as quickly as it's risen, and then find a more sensible valuation, but good luck to those ( except Kev of course, who hopefully comes a cropper ) who are currently making a killing on it.
