I Think we should be seriously looking at Sebastian Larsson, Fabrice Muamba And Oliver Kapo from Birmingham. I could see us getting all 3 for a little over 10 mill and i think that it would really give us some cover for our midfield, and Muamba and Larsson are only going to get better with age. Kapo and Muamba would also add some much needed height. Also if cars was to stay another year i think it would give moyes a bit of time to groom Muamba into playing that role for Everton.

To be honest Im hoping for more established players to take us to the next level(top 4)(y)

I would move for Kapo. He has a lot to offer. I was shouting about him before brum got him. I still like the lad.

Birmingham fans hate Kapo. A greedy show pony they call him. They like Muamba because he works hard and puts his foot in but do agree he can't pass to save his life. They rate Larsson very highly.

I don't think we'll go for any of them next season. I think Moyes is looking at Steve Sidwell, Manuel Fernandes and Michael Bradley. I'd be happy if we signed all three to be honest. We'd get them all for a reasonable price combined and all would give us different midfield options.

Would people be happy with Cahill, Osman, Fernandes, Sidwell and Bradley as our centre midfield options next season? I would. As much as I'd like to think where going to sign the likes of Lorik Cana and Lucho Gonzalez its very unlikely.

I think Forsell has the best on target free kick percentage in the prem. Could be a good reserve for us.

I was saying to go for Kapo last year before he went to Birmingham, and again after he went to Birmingham. I like him, decent player.

He'd be available on loan.

yet more evidence that Sarcasm doesn't work on forums in that link from Danny.

I knew full well that Riquelme was a Argentine international when I wrote that.

and I still think Kapo is the dog's bollocks. :D

I think Larsson would be a great buy, he is young (23?) and have a lot of potential. Will play for Sweden in Euro - 2008 and gain even more experience, has a really good left foot and can actually do some decent crosses and freekicks. A Mikel Arteta light. And how do we look at him now???

I say buy him. He was teached how to play football in Arsenal youth team, so he isn´t any shitty swedish player.

Sebastian would be a decent buy, but not at the value he's rumoured to be "worth"... £6-8M. He had a great finish to the season with his freekicks, but other that than didn't do much... if the fee were around £3-4M then perhaps.

Kapo I like. He did a great match against us in the first clash with Birmingham and have a good potential. I'd like us to get him on a loan spell if possible.

When he's in form and in the right mood yes.. but he's fairly inconsistant... and for £8M I don't want an inconsistant midfielder.

Where did the 8 million price tag come from? birmingham have just been relegated, and hes not worht 8 million if arteta is apparently worth 10

According to Swedish papers he's valued somewhere in the area £6-8M... and with the inflated market I think Birmingham will hold out for that figure or something close to it. He's young and since he hasn't been playing for long in a bigger club I don't think his salary is that high either, so Birmingham might be able to afford to pay his wage in the Championship for a season and hope for a PL spot 09/10 again.
