I will clap if it's applause and I'll be silent if it is silence. Not because I liked what he has done to the club but like it or not he has done a lot for people in need like Bradley, various donations like Ukraine and how he has built up EitC to help the people of Liverpool and alike.

I'm sure he was a very nice bloke away from the club and clearly loved talking about Everton and putting the RS down which is what a good Evertonian should do.

I have no issue with either as well. People should find their own motivations for compliance whatever the club decides to do. Some people may want to applaud/stay silent as a mark of respect, others who do not feel that way may want to applaud or stay silent to protect the reputation of the club’s fan base by not engaging in a disreputable act that would be considered disrespectful by the media. It’s a battle we simply wouldn’t win. Do it with gritted teeth and then move on.
