The dire and ominous state that the club is currently engulfed in all stems back to this narcissistic slime ball , he had around two decades to sort out proper financial investment in the club and instead used the buffer of moyes's frugal efficiency to mask his business negligence and ineptitude. Due to moyes resourcefulness we were in the top ten regularly along with our gk being one or the more notable American players at the time, instead of using those aspects to build a platform of increasing our financial and football capabilities especially in the burgeoning market of the U.S , he just spouted delusional sentimental nonsense while continuing to enrich himself and satiate his colossal ego.
People always get critical of the fans on here but kenwright is a major culprit behind the behaviors of the fans, you have the set of fans so mired in the past they become indignant If they don't see sucess comparable to the glory days, but as I see it that's a product of kenwright always indulging that outlook with nostalgia laced drivel and lack of substance to realize it. Then another sect of our fanbase is jaded and cynical which also is born from Kenwright's constant false promises, lack of investment, inability to run a successful club, and rampant croynism which would make anyone bitter.
Also brought the naive football simpleton moshiri who has delivered devastating damage to the club , mainly I would propose because he was the only prospective owner that would be asinine enough to retain kenwright.

I went home and a lot of away games in the seventies and early eighties. Except for Gordon Clegg I didnt know of Kenwrong. He was with Cilla in 71 at Wembley, but never remember him at Everton games.Well said.
