Correct decision imo... the only ex LFC employee that gave/gives a jot about us is Rafael - all the rest just enjoy sticking the boot in.

He took the job on despite receiving threats outside his family home.

Like him or hate him he certainly cared. Meanwhile Spit the Dog is on commentary in the Derby celebrating whenever they score a goal against us.
He is no different to Allardyce mate, they will put up with the abuse because of the pay packet they are getting.

There have been quite a few really good ex rs players who've played for us and given real value for money.

As for Tubby, the only thing he cared about was running Everton down for as long as possible, before getting the sack and getting his contract paid up ... another reward for ineptitude. Never forget that smirk he gave after Norwich scored aagainst us lads!

Like King Canute trying to stop the tidal wave of criticism.

He is about to drown
Yes, there is a consistency in the criticism of him across many pages of this thread. The link below from the Institute of Directors website outlines the role of a Board Chairman:

He has failed in these responsibilities over an 18 year period. There is not a jot of evidence that he has even concerned himself with delivering the responsibilities. Under his watch we have a litany of 'spiv' type initiatives aimed at his survival whilst the club existed financially until Moshiri, from 'hand to mouth'

His refusal to recognise the situation he has caused and step down has/will result in him being forced out as a complete failure.

It is inevitable

For those that dont click links:
  • As well as being Chair of the board, they expected to act as the company’s leading representative which will involve the presentation of the company’s aims and policies to the outside world.
  • To take the chair at general meetings and board meetings. With regard to the latter this will involve: the determination of the order of the agenda; ensuring that the board receives accurate, timely and clear information; keeping track of the contribution of individual directors and ensuring that they are all involved in discussions and decision-making. At all meetings the Chair should direct discussions towards the emergence of a consensus view and sum up discussions so that everyone understands what has been agreed.
  • To take a leading role in determining the composition and structure of the board. This will involve regular reviews of the overall size of the board, the balance between executive and non-executive directors and the balance of age, experience and personality of the directors.
  • To ensure effective communication with shareholders and, where appropriate, the stakeholders.
Think we can safely say failed on all of the above!

My missus just been appointed as Non Exec Director at her Company and the hoops she had to jump through and continue to do so to show she is fit and proper(insert your own jokes here, she can take it!!) Are ongoing while in the role and will be of benefit to her overall in the long run if she moves to executive postion.

Its clear he is remiss in all of his duites!
