He should have been ran out of town for the Kings Dock fiasco alone. The fact he wasn't and was then allowed to preside over a totally flawed move to a flat-pack stadium outside of the city says a lot about the dampening of expectations that he was complicit in over this period.

Paul Gregg power battle wasn't it ...... Gregg promised to fund kings dock to get control.... Kenwright invented the fortress fund which was a lie to get control and commit to the stadium..... then he bought in Phillip Green to buy out Gregg and our operating costs went through the roof.

We lost the Kings dock for a mere 40 million that bungling Bill could not raise by private investors.....then we had the Kirkby fiasco.....
He now needs just a honorary position on the board, great fan etc heart in the right place never a businessman though.......

If it wasn't for Bill we would have had kings dock, we would have had the basis to attract investment, we would have kept Rooney, we wouldn't have had a generation of fans thinking Europa league is a great achievement.
Absolutely none of that is remotely true. You know we were crap before he was out chairman don’t you? And you don’t think Rooney left because he wanted a much bigger salary and to actually win things?

Christ, Liverpool win and this place turns into grown men crying like children. It’s embarrassing.

Are you happy with plucky little Everton? Seems like it.

Money Talks and year after year after year, we spent nowhere near what our "rivals" did and we even allowed more teams leapfrog us like Spurs, City, Chelsea.

We had a miracle season getting to 4th thanks to Moyes and even then we cut our cloth like paupers incase we did a "Leeds" but at least they had a go!

If the board had ambition, we would be sat with a dock side stadium with 50k over 10 years ago.

Kenwright macromanaged Everton for one of the Top 4 into a nodding dog of a club who allowed teams to cherry pick players here and there and didn't bat an eyelid.

His surrounding board members allowed it and while the Premier League grew into a Global Business, we sat on our hands, happy to get a few quid and a rub on the head.

At one stage we had some of the continents biggest star players in Rooney, Howard, Cahill and Pienaar so we had pre-seasons in Bury, Port Vale and Paderborn.

Under Kenwright, we became a soulless vessel who bobbed along and the saddest thing about it, it's US that let it happen.

We allowed them to pre-program US into thinking beating a Top 6 club is a good thing, going on a unsuccessful cup run is a good thing, selling our best players and not replacing them with better is a good thing and achieving nothing is a good thing.

10 years ago, we lost to Chelsea in a FA Cup Final with Arteta, Yakubu, Jagelka all missing since then 3 semi-final defeats (1 league cup, 2 FA Cup) and some European cup runs. To most fans, they would LOVE that, your Newcastle's or West Ham's, they would cream themselves for it. We now do!

We are EVERTON, we are better then well done, credit where credit is due, best of luck, best team won etc etc. IF IT'S NOT US, WE SHOULDN'T CARE.

Let's stand up as fans now, set a new standard for this club and our future, don't take defeat lightly and expect victory every single game we play because if we are fans don't, you can bet the players won't or the press won't or our own board.

The Kenwright years are Dead, Long Live EVERTON

There is no silver bullet for success.
Selling our sole to unknown Foreign ownership is fraught with risk. Yes City and Chelsea have bought success but what happens when the owners decide to exit stage left leaving massive debts? We are dallying down that route with Moshri but fingers crossed he proves to be trustworthy.
The Arsenal/ Spurs model warrants praise as both sets of Chairman have not buckled to the short term financial demands of the game. They both laid down strict financial criteria for both recruitment and retention of players and have both grown into impressive new stadia. Yet both have attracted criticism from their fans impatient for more success.
Ideally an astute, rich but trustworthy businessman would probably be the answer. Unfortunately Bill, Johnson nor Green fit all criteria.
Maybe Moshri will.

Presenting Samuelson at the AGM..... well I'm no lawyer but deliberately deceiving shareholders cannot be a good look.

And 75% of them are now in lower leagues

That's the point ..... teams of that ilk have won trophies. The only clubs comparable in size to us who have fallen are Leeds and villa.....

The reason was irresponsible spending.

We aren't slating bill cos he didn't spend money.... we are slating him cos he ruined our ability to generate money. He kept us stagnant while other clubs mare leaps.
