That was the last bike I owned, sold it in 1981

My last bike was one of these, it was great with a really comfortable riding position and surprisingly quick.

The 'book' price I guess would be somewhere between £1500 - £1800, but the bike is in perfect condition genuinely less than 1500 miles and I'd hope for more than that.

Have you had a look at Suzuki Bandits? Can be had cheap and the 400cc is a great beginners bike.

Tigger has given good advice there. Bandits are cheap,easy to maintain and fun to ride.

Bandits look really nice but I'm really not into sportsbikes tbh... Obviously I can still change my mind and all, like...
