Missed the Cup final against United, queued overnight etc than it all went to pot in the morning with the queue turning into a free for all like

saw it on telly though so guess wasn't a missed match as such, just one i should have been watching live like so felt almost as bad as missing it - till we won and the rest of the day and next was a bit of a drunken haze like

FA cup final 95. Had a school cricket match I wasn't allowed to miss apparently. Girl in my class was allowed to miss her netball match though!! Still fumin

Good thread this.

I sort of missed the Wimbledon game.

I listened to the first half in the radio but when it was 2-0 I couldn't stand it. So went and played football with my mates.

Come home and dreams had been made!
Can remember it so damn well. Pre internet and not much english football on the telly or radio except MOTD. Felt so unbelievable down after awimbledon scored their second. Watching BBC sport and final score. The sheer joy after the comeback and the pictures of the pitch invasion at Goodison made me cry for the first and probably only time ever over a football match. Think I never felt happier being an Evertonian and it was being hammered home so clearly what a special club we support. Still have that 'On the edge' videotape somewhere.

Kanchelskis derby. Someone had spare that I could of had, but I'd gone out and got inebriated the night before, and in no state to drive from Shropshire in the morning! Gutted.

2011 derby when S*arez got Rodwell sent off

I really wanted to watch it and my friend was having an 18th

I told him I didn't want to come because the derby was on, then he said that he was going to record it so I reluctantly agreed.

Missed Wigan in the QF last year, in-laws were over and he even asked me if I wanted to watch it, I declined and said it was an easy win, we went for a long boozy lunch instead... Sorry everyone.

Don't apologise, mate. We've got their old manager now and we're gonna win the league ffs

I missed the 4-4 with Man United

Had to get it on a bootleg DVD

I was gutted

Was somewhere without SKY access

Heard the score on the radio and was a mixture of proud and also infuriated

same, was on the way travelling at the time, told my bro to keep me updated. think he told me about the first 1 or 3 goals (can't remember) and he presumed i had arrived from my journey in time. just presumed there was no goals myself, so asked him and he told me 4-4, totally unexpected.

Southampton semi 1984 (in France)
Bayern at home 1985 (too much to travel from London...... Biggest regret ever! )
Rapid Vienna!!! (Work)
RS 4-4 (away in France)
