Biggest Everton legend?

......I'm very fortunate to have seen them all except Dixie. There was a similar thread recently and I said there was never a truer chant than 'who's the greatest of the all, little curley Alan Ball'. Mark my words, those who followed were top players but they couldn't lace this little fella's boots. He not only loved the club, he was brilliant on the world stage. He mixed it at the top table and played tikki takki before it was invented. I am blessed to have seen so many, but none more so than Bally.

So much this.

James Beattive vs Richard Dunne. One addicted to McDonalds the other addicted to anything alcohol was in.
[Not slanderous as I didnt say which]

Kendall has to be on the list. Sublime midfielder alongside Alan Ball and Colin Harvey in a real school of science team.....and our most successful manager aside from Catterick.

Fixed that for you. Both won 2 league titles and a cup. Catterick's team was runner up in the cup once, Kendall's team were runners up twice. Kendall gave us our only European trophy. I think that just about makes him our most successful manager. Bar none.

The fact that Ferguson is ahead of Labone, Latchford, Young, Hickson and Ratcliffe just proves how much of a young man's game the internet is.

Fact is, the thread title is 'Biggest Everton Legend' not 'Your biggest Everton hero'

How many have actually seen Dixie play? These stars of the bygone ages belong to the realm of mythology.
I am by no means trying to belittle their greatness, but they never made me run around and celebrate goals.
My first Everton hero was Adrian Heath, because he reminded me of one of the guys in a television series
called Airwolf. In the following generation my fav was Cottee. Then Ferguson. I did not have any favourites
after that. These three were all legends as far as I am concerned.

For me, taking as much into account as possible, it has to be Kendall.

Would make an all-time Everton 1st XI and unquestionably our most successful manager.
