Great character is Fat Sam but don't let anyone claim he's anything more than a gloried Championship manager who's been dining off a couple of fluke seasons with Bolton for years. He still plays direct, 1 dimensional dire football and has had an awful lot of money to play with at West Ham, as he did at Bolton in terms of wages. He spent big again in the summer, must have 15 strikers there. And God only knows how much they're paying to loan Alex Song. West Ham must be the flukiest team in the league getting a new stadium handed to them on a plate, what we wouldn't give to be in a similar position

What has Sam won ? 20 years older then Martinez and still looking for his first cup. He also got 20 years on him, so he will be experience a and flexible

Apparently the best West Ham side in prem history played an Everton side not confident enough to make a 2 yard pass last week and managed 2 shots on target both from corners. Great performance that Sam. Like Sunderland a few years ago they had their chance to do us when we were poor and didn't take it. Now we're going to embarass them in front of their own fans. Then flexible big Sam will still have 0 FA cup wins to his name.

First time he's been more flexible than someone else in a long time.

Master of the KFC defense. Free flowing blood stifled in the Rt Coronary Artery, the Left Coronary Artery and HAHA you think you are getting through the circumflex??

I have alot of time for the Hammers and for Big Sam. At least he's got a Personality. You all know someone like him.

The team the hammers would be if they'd held onto their best youngsters though, eh.

Why get your knickers in a knot over some Bantz?

Hahaha... I like Fat Sam, I do...

Did anybody ever use to follow that fake Fat Sam twitter account a few years back? It was hilarious...

He is right though. Not the master part like but we play one way whereas west ham are playing different ways depending on the team. they play defensively ala traditional allardice, can pass it about and have creativity and pace now. They wont become a top club under sam but they dont need to be, they need midtables until the new stadium opens and then they can push on from there.

Have a read and discuss

Sam Allardyce: I'm a more flexible boss than Roberto Martinez
West Ham boss Sam Allardyce believes he is more "flexible" in his tactics than Everton counterpart Roberto Martinez.

The Hammers are enjoying a fine season compared to the struggling Toffees, with the sides set to meet in a third round FA Cup replay on Tuesday.

"I'm a little bit more flexible than Roberto - he is a total believer in one style, while I'm the master of many styles " said Allardyce.

But Allardyce says Everton's problems this season are down to playing in the Europa League and more injuries.

Everton finished fifth last season in Martinez's first season in charge to qualify for European football, but are currently three points above the Premier League relegation zone.

West Ham are in seventh spot and 11 points better off than the Goodison Park side.

"You become flexible as time goes on, he is a one trick pony and I have his number " added Allardyce.

"Flexibility teaches you that you have a philosophy in the way you want to play, but if that way of playing doesn't suit the players you cannot keep that philosophy. If he carries on being stubborn he will join his old team in the championship "

The FA Cup replay will take place at Upton Park after a 1-1 draw away at Everton and the winner will visit Bristol City or Doncaster Rovers in the next round.

Martinez has played down reports linking him with Cardiff keeper David Marshall and, despite speculation over the futures of Samuel Eto'o and Seamus Coleman, he is not envisaging any major departures.

"We are not entertaining that speculation of big sales," said the Spaniard.

"We are not going to sell our big assets in the window, so I think all those stories and admiration from the outside are just a waste of time."
