2025/26 Beto

Not enough has been said about the fact moyes chose from start of November till the end of Feb to start barry over him, at most getting 30 mins mostly getting 5-10 mins (think he started 1 game in this period).

His goal tally this season is remarkable considering.
Not the best player but runs his heart out every game and is a decent finisher.
Light years ahead of barry.
Think Beto tried to change his playstyle earlier this season and get more involved in build-up. Usually led to us losing the ball.

Maybe Moyes wanted to see if he could change but now he's back to being himself the goals have returned.

Becoming a bit of a cult figure. Another one of those where we agree that he is not the best footballer but puts his heart and soul into playing for Everton.

Great to see him getting the rewards, fingers crossed he is not out too long. Concussion protocol is 2 weeks, I believe?

If we can get a quality striker in the summer and have Beto as back up, then that would be ideal.

He's the new Niasse. Not the best, gives his all and demands your love!
You're doing the man a real disservice. He is much more than just a trier. He's improving his game all the time, and at this moment he is one of the deadliest strikers in the Premier League.

Since January 1st, Beto has seven PL goals. Only three players have more. Haaland has just four.

His season total of eight PL goals have come at a rate of 0.53 per 90 minutes. Haaland. Kroupi and Thiago have the highest numbers, but Beto is one of the best of the rest. For anyone who's been bemoaning letting DCL go. DCL's eleven goals came at a rate of only 0.43. Three of those eleven were penalty kicks, so his rate in open play is more like 0.31.

Make no mistake: he's earned the right to have fans singing his name.

Woah. I merely suggested a comparison on zero to hero mentality. Didn't think I'd get stat-ified 🤣.

Love the lads effort and desire, he’s just a toffee playing for the club he loves.

Game gone when he went off, was doing well at both ends of the pitch, won a load of defensive headers from their corners and had their crap CBS on toast.

They don’t score if he’s on, simple.

Hope he’s back for wham, if not, play Graham or Keane at cf and send Barry to the ressies.

Homemade: Beto's extraordinary journey to Everton https://share.google/1BzUdtefE2bKe8YX3
Found this on the Premier League website.
If you watch this video, you will realise why no one should ever write Beto off. He is a throwback to the street footballers of yesterday, that have become a dying breed.
What he lacks in technique he makes up for in heart and determination.
Emotional watching the humble background he came from to what he has become. He should be the inspiration for every street kid in Merseyside.
I couldn't love the big man more.
