Once you proclaimed Godfrey as the second coming of Bobby Moore my trust in your judgement went down! I don't think Beto is a great player, but I do think if he can get a goal he will get a few. He strikes me as a poacher rather than an all round striker and therefore needs confidence which he'll only get when he scores.

Does't matter who's scoring as long as we are scoring and winning. Beto's presence helped and will continue to help. And he'll eventually start scoring.

DCL has only a 3 goals from 13 games. Beto has barely had a look in.

….my take on him is he’s ok if the ball is played beyond CBs for him to contest with his raw pace and power but he’s dreadful when anything is played up to him. We needed striker to relieve pressure yesterday and neither him or Chermitti look capable of doing that.

interesting he told Dyche that he needs to have more finesse and Dyche told him he’s best being ‘raw’.

He was a disaster yesterday but a lot of mitigation with first start/wasnt fit for the squad the gameweek before. Have a feeling he was carrying an injury.

Still though, I wouldn't want to rely on him so Calvert-Lewin's fitness remains crucial.

What forward cant you say that about - that they're better racing onto a ball than holding it up? Only a few are truly good at holding the ball off and laying it off consistently in the PL and they'll be worth a lot of money.

Id also compare him with DCL - who is better at leading the line than Beto in terms of the above comment but I don't see him, these days at least, putting in a great shift pressing from the front.

I repeat: this feller has just over 6 hours of PL football under his belt. How on earth are you expecting him to be able to anticipate what his team mates are going to do with the ball in match situations or deal with how PL defences double up and swamp a forward? To dismiss him on the basis of what we've seen so far is nonsensical.
