With everyone fit, what would be our strongest side and formation? Possibly this:

Maybe Coleman for Neville? Maybe Yakubu instead of either Saha or Cahill? Could Rodwell mature to take over the central midfield role, with Arteta and Pienaar flanking him? Perhaps we should go with two deep-lying midfielders, as Chelsea do, and sacrifice the withdrawn striker (Cahill), so that Fellaini and Heitinga can play together in tandem.

Whichever way we go about it, I would like to see us come up with a plan B. Throwing Yakubu on as an extra striker very often seems like a desperate act rather than a calculated measure. Ideally we'd be able to switch between 4-1-3-1-1 and 4-4-2 with ease, if we needed to be more adventurous during a game. There should be occassions during the season where we use two forwards when playing at home. Hopefully, as we add numbers to our squad and competition for places increases, the manager will look at using different systems.

Fellaini and arteta in central midfield is the golden ticket. Pienaar and hopefully donovan on the flanks, with either billy or cahill supporting saha. (billy better against lesser teams who park the bus). Then i'd put forgotten man Joseph Yobo alongside jags in defence. Baines and heitinga full backs, Howard in goal.

I think Yobo is a better defender than Distin myself. I'd be interested to see Fellaini and Heitinga playing together, perhaps in a formation like this:

Having Fellaini and Heitinga holding would give the fullbacks freedom to get forward at will.

It's interesting that, having been written off by a lot of people, Bily and the Yak make most of the lineups.

I like the look of the personel, but im not sure i like how far up the pitch you have the spaniard. I like mikel to orchestrate things a bit further back. Given recent form id nearly be tempted to swap rodwell and mikel. I really believe rodwell could develop into a gerrard type player(not the diving,cheating,telling refs to send people off,punching dj,s part). He has the power, the composure, well everything really to be whatever type of player he wants to be and i wouldnt mind seeing him giving a go there.

My mind changes loads. Therefore I'll be leaving it mostly to Moyes then kicking off like a blert when he plays Neville at right back and we get beat or a moody draw.

This could also apply to Hibbert.
