Batman Arkhum Asylum was very good.

I'm gonna say FIFA the last world cup one (I understand I may be in a minority here, and it can't really be a simulation as when I played it, England won the world cup and Heskey scored 9 goals in the competition)

Fallout 3, new vegas and Oblivion were all brilliant.

Dragonage Origins.

GTA: Ballad of Gay Tony - which is what GTA should've been.
 

Fallout 3 was great.

I still play Fifa 10 and BF:BC2 way too much.

Assassin's Creed 2 was really good, not played the third yet but it's supposed to be even better.

Couldn't get into Assassin's Creed 2. Stuck on my shelf. I just kept running about markets - not really knowing what was going on. I was a bit drunk when I went through all the early tutorials mind, so I may have missed out the whole point of the thing.
 

fallout 3 and/or modern warfare 1 ... both were almost perfect.

1 game i play and realy enjoy that dont ever get a mention is dantes inferno.

I've got that sitting on my shelf, haven't really played it for more than 2 hours though, is it that good?

Best games for me are
Modern warfare 2: Purely because I've played it on-line so much, I love sniping.
Dirt 2: The most fun racing game I've ever played, I strongly recommend it to anyone.
Red Dead Redemption/Undead Nightmare: Good alternative GTA style game, great fun.
