Best/Worst comedians!

Least funny woman in comedy is that Shappi Korsdani. Sarah Millican is very funny actually, probably the first female stand up that genuinely makes me laugh.

I've not seen much of her stuff, so I don't like to judge. Anyone can look good through 30 second soundbites on Mock the Week and what have you.

She does seem to have her own act though. One which doesn't involve her playing on the fact that she's a woman every 2 minutes.

  • a bewildering crap english ahem! comedian - Ross Noble (have you seen the very annoying long drawn-out beaten to death milked `meat flap` not funny rant
a very good (imo) american comedian y`all might not have heard of- Brian Regan

Teh, you mean. i havent paid much attention to the reporting of that stuff. the american fella is well worth a check-out tho- sorry i canft do links, i gotta sort that

Watched Eddie Murphy's Raw last night, very funny.

Don't like Louis CK.

Hate Sarah MacMillan and any other "why do men have penises?" kind of faux-feminist stand up.

Tim Minchin and Tim Vine I also dislike.

I stay away from stand up really, as my opinions will become so fuelled with vitriol the world may split in half.

I know it's vein as fcuk, but if I don't like the look of someone, or if I don't like the way they present their material, chances are I won't be able to see past their stuff, no matter how good it may be.

He's a prime example, a bit too eager for me.

Anyone seen Steve Coogan's stand up from the Empire in town? About 1994-95 ish?

Does Paul & Pauline Calf aswell as Ernest Moss & Duncan Thickett, with John Thompson hosting.

Superb stuff.

The student buying a portion of chips with his cheque book was a good one.

Watching Lee Evans for the first time in a while, determined to find out what people see in him.

Unfortunately, he's just as painfully unfunny as I remember him to be. One hell of a bad comedian.

Weirdly, he was far better in the odd film he was in, like Mousehunt.

I went to see Dara O Briain a few months ago and he was awful. I was expecting some pretty witty, topical stuff but he just told nob gags and pandered to his Mock the Week fans.

It's all about live shows with comedians. You can't judge someone from a few clips on QI or Mock the Wank.

Best I've seen; Dylan Moran (something silly like 5 times), Mark Thomas and Ross Noble - always had a soft spot for Mark Watson too. As for women, Lucy Porter would be the best I've seen... as well as being utterly lovely.
