The hamsterdam episode. The one where the Greeks do Frank. Mcnulty finding the 13 bodies. Omar in court "you got the briefcase I got the shotgun", the wire doesn't have a best episode. You can't pick one.

As a standalone episode, considering it was just 30ish minutes to get invested in it, Inside number 9 - '12 Days of Christine' proper blew me away first time I seen it.

I will also throw in the 2nd episode of season 1 of Snowfall, the one were Franklyn gets jumped outside the club to a soundtrack of 'lovely day' by Bill Withers!
Also the final episode of Snowfall too, so often final episodes can be a let down but this programme got boxed off beautifully! Again the final scene with the soundtrack closing credits hit hard!
