Here's some of my fravourites.

The Jam Brighton 82
The La's at shepherds bush empire
Coldplay at shep bush in front of 20 people supporting shack (great liverpool band)
shack again at the 100 club
the prodigy at sterns nightclub 1990
the beautiful south at kilurn ballroom 1989
the housemartins at the lamb pub, st helens 85
the who at wembley arena
doves at the astoria the best of the lot

I went to what I thought was the Jams last gig at Guildford and was gutted when they added the Brighton gig later on

By all accounts thing got a bit nasty at the Brighton gig with bottles being thrown at the stage etc

Thats what the music mags said at the time ( But as we know papers are inclined to bulslhit)

As you were there mate what was it really like

Guru Josh.. Park Hall.

not really, I was there like and it was a laugh but not best ever, in fact far from it.

Billy Bragg at local Labour club was a laugh, met him beforehand and my was introduced by andy burnham, as my mate looks more like billy than he does himself, he did his soundcheck and then got invited on stage to pick a song to do with the bard. Andy Burnham did New England, which is on a memory stick for a day in the future possibly.

Radio head outdoors at the RDS in dublin in the early 90s absoloute blinding gig. Was at Greenday in marley park last wednesday which was gift some great clips of it on youtube.

Monsters of rock at Donnington 1988

* Iron Maiden (superb )
* KISS (not the biggest fan but they were ok)
* David Lee Roth (not so good)
* Megadeth (jaw dropping stuff)
* Guns N' Roses (Unreal)
* Helloween (amazing)
