The fistful of dollars trilogy for me. Characterisation, Story, Cast, and setting in harmony.
Also, Cling gets a notable for being in another possibility, the Dirty Harry trilogy. (At least I think it was.)
 

The most obvious answer, but for me the only one: The original Star Wars trilogy.

I can't even imagine how awesome they would have been at the time. I remember watching them as a kid and I still love them as much now. Great acting, plot and just rather magical films.

Deserve a mention, especially with so many coming back in flag draped bags to the British Isles.
 
The story itself was good. I'm of the opinion that Sofia Coppola single-handedly ruined that movie.

It just didn't have the weight of the first two. The story telling, the aura, the madness intrinsic to that culture. Just a bit sh!te for me. Shame really.
