The Equaliser

Player Valuation: £50m
May as well start a thread while I'm here.

1st half v Barcodes was exceptional especially as it included 3 goals and Lukaku was unstoppable on the day.

Excellent attitude at OT taking the game to United for the 1st half hour which yielded a superb result.

But to go to the Emirates and play the league leaders off the park for most of the first half was surely the point at which any lingering doubts about which direction we are heading in were dispelled. What a performance.

Another performance like either of those on 28th January in Hades would be the icing on the cake....so long as it brings 3 points.

I would have to say the first 45-minutes against Arsenal. For the first time in a very long time, I actually felt extremely proud of all the players' efforts. We looked like a team.

Yeah i think im with UFO on that, even Henry said he hadnt seen anyone play like that against Arsenal, was great to play like that with so many people watching world wide

2nd half of the derby for me. OK, we conceeded a late equaliser, but we still "won" that half 2-1, and the way we kept coming at them and pushing them back was something that made me proud to be an Evertonian.

The performance level of that half of football set us up to thump Stoke 4-0 and then put in those immense back to back performances at OT/Emirates.

First half v Newcastle was the greatest first half I've ever seen Everton play.

EVER.

Second half against stoke was very impressive, the fact we only scored 3 flattered them, however due to the level of opposition you cant consider this. Yes arsenal was very impressive opening 45 minutes but we didn't really create enough. My favourite was the derby in the second half. We really took it to them and but for their keeper would have run up a cricket score, their equaliser was so unjust but the belief we showed in the derby that day (despite being behind twice) showed me this team won't bottle it and could go on to better things, which it has done since that day. 13 points out of 15 available.

1st half versus Newcastle we were outstanding for the 45mins. We kept the ball well and used it effectively to create many opportunities to score goals. A great team effort.

Different halves for different reasons

- first half v Newcastle for the breathtaking attacking intent.
- second half v Liverpool for the character shown to come back and put them on the ropes.
- first half against Arsenal for the imperious way we kept them at arms length.
- less mentioned, the second half v WHU when we came back twice and then went on to win...that half heralded what followed in the season.

Not saying it's the best, like, but second half at West Ham must have been great for the neutral. Absolute pandemonium in the away end.

Baines scoring two free kicks and Rom scoring a late winner of his debut. Pretty ace.
