What's really the difference between getting it off now than in 5 or 6 months? We're not going to do any significant business or even any at all before then. If anyone goes this window it looks like it'll be Kenny, least we might get a good fee for him because Burnley sound very keen to get him now.
You’re taking like There will be a host of club’s interested, come the summer

The same ones who are interested now probably still will be, this Saudi team and perhaps Roma. I just don't see the point in getting rid of him now unless it's to free up funds for a deal we otherwise can't get finished. Clubs really shouldn't be doing any business in January unless caught in a desperate situation or if a massive bargain falls in your lap.

Right now loaning Gordon out sounds far more sensible.

He's been in practically every match day squad. If he goes he needs replacing.

Bernard offers nothing, so if a deal is out there I’m sure the club will get it done ASAP. We are going to keep him for next 3.5 months, just in case we get an injury crisis. No point IMO

I think it was more Likely Roma’s manager was interested, who’s apparently on the verge of the sack. And they’ve just resigned an old player

Literally every single squad, in all competitions. He's played in 4 of the last 5 games and started in the league just 2 games ago. Letting him go without anybody coming in would be madness.

The game we didn't look like we had a clue how to score a goal?
We'll be alright for finding someone else who doesn't do anything in the squad to replace him.

Doesn't change the fact that Ancelotti is picking him though does it? There is quite simply no way of arguing that selling a player who you regularly have on the pitch and ALWAYS have in the squad wouldn't weaken the squad. He's not great, he never has been, but he's an option that the manager regularly utilises. For balance, he made a massive difference when coming on in the Sheffield United game, so he can clearly be useful.

Probably says more about the squad than Bernard. Let’s not forget Ancelotti has has 2 keepers on the bench quite a few times.

I’m not sure how many league games Bernard has stated this year, but I doubt it’s many. Amd when you consider. Richarlison has missed games, James too and Iwobi. Add to disruption in midfield. He’s very much a last resort. And last resorts, shouldn’t be one of the highest paid players

And it will be Ancelottis final decision if he's happy enough to see him leave
