Really liked him off the bench there. Can't be great for the defenders seeing him on the touchline ready to come on.

If Iwobi keeps performing I'd like to see us keep bringing Bernard on against tired legs. Especially when we're winning and don't need goals. That DCL-Bernard double sub when we're ahead could be a useful one.

The only thing I remember him doing when he came on was shanking a cross when in a very good position. The ball somehow came back to him, we had loads of shirts in the box waiting and he did this weird chip to nobody on the edge of the area and started a Wolves counter attack. A few people in the match thread were like WTF!

Legs off the bench which will always be important, I hope he’s satisfied there because he shouldn’t be getting anywhere near our starting XI

Poor from Silva, Iwobi was blowin out of his arse from around the 55/60 mark.

Too many times Silva has made subs just as we concede and that tends to tell us that it's too late. He needs to start becoming more pro active because its looking like a really bad flaw of his.
I think managers are reluctant to make changes when in the lead. But one thing on subs and him I hate to see is throwing the kitchen sink at a goal deficit with time on the clock. The overkill with attacking players on subs tends to destroy shape and is a bit desperate.

Overall I like Silva, but he's still learning about his own job.

Was a good outlet after he came on and was clearly instructed to go at players as much as possible. We nearly carved a few good moments from it.

People forget this is a squad game. We will need Bernard, Iwobi, Richarlison and even Walcott at times this season.

...he wants two for every position, but Iwobi and Bernard are different types who can help him manage games.

Yeah, a sub made on the basis of replacing one forward with one set of kills for another with a different set of skills I understand, and it's what he did today. But when we were chasing the game at Villa there was no interest in keeping shape. On a separate note, I'm not a fan of double substitutions either. It smacks of desperation.
