Tons of players have done the same thing. Lukaku, Distin, Delph. I'm sure there are more because it happens. As long as it isn't a weekly thing, it wouldn't be something I criticize players for.

Not to go on and on about that piece of play, but it took about ten to fifteen moments for Iwobi to cock that move up.

I'm not saying Bernard is in his league, but judging a player solely on their goals/assists is daft.

Bernard is our highest paid player on £120,000 per week. His main purpose is an attacking option. And more importantly a source of creativity.

This season he has 2 goals and just 2 assists.

Mina also has 2 goals.

Holgate has 3 assists.

I think if he didn't smile so much he'd be in for a lot more criticism.

It doesn't show the full picture though. How many of Dignes assists are because of Bernard, he does a lot of work with the ball and isn't always the player who plays the final ball. Pienaar was similar. Those stats don't even tell half a story of what Bernard offers, would we all like him to get more goal, of course but he offers plenty.
