I like how you chose to write 23 months at the club as if he’s started every game during that time and not been loaned out for half a season... also ignoring that football isn’t even played for multiple months per year.

Stop expecting lots of goals and assists from someone who averages 10 minutes per match and has only started playing for Everton again regularly within the past couple or so months.

Every time he’s come on recently he’s looked decent, created chances, there is a decent chance he will score goals and assists if he’s given a sustained run in the side. Maybe not world beater level but I’d seriously doubt someones judgement on football if they can’t see he has obvious potential. He’s stil only 21...
In Germany, Lookman had a better goal or assist per minute ratio than Aubamyang and Thomas Muller.

Yes, it’s a different league, but he simply hasn’t played the minutes this season to make any reasonable argument that he doesn’t score or assist enough.

I’d like to see him have a run of a few games, which I’m sure will happen over the Xmas period.

I'm certainly not against Lookman getting game time. But we are lacking goals and to claim a 21 year old with 1 goal will be the answer rather than a guy with over 100, baffles me a bit.

He's not playing badly. But neat touches and "looking lively" is only good for so long. We need goals. That goes for all our wide men.

I agree that he needs to prove he can do it over 90 mins, but we won’t know that until he gets the chance and he’s shown enough off the bench and on his loan spell to make it worthwhile giving him the opportunity.

I still have reservations about whether he can perform consistently at this level and in this league. I do think he looks a different players this year though, which shows he is developing at a pretty quick pace.

Thought Bernard had his best game so far on Sunday, his first touch is unbelievable, he is definitely getting fitter, and I think all he needs now is a goal or two! Cannot see Marco dropping him at this stage. If there's a change to be made it will be Lookman for Walcott, the break whether it be injury related or not may well do Walcott the power of good!

Lol not sure if serious, trolling or just blind ? You only have to look at the match thread when he came on to see the comments about how he had instant impact. Literally the first thing he did was get the ball, go past a couple players then dribble through the middle of their midfield opening up a ton of space. Then within a couple minutes of that he was doing some very direct and precise passing in dangerous areas. He instantly looked a danger
No end product in 99.5% of games played in blue. Fancy stepovers only gets you so far.

Inappropriate Language
Remember when Coutinho joined the RS. Did [Poor language removed] all in his first year. They were about to sell him to Southampton. Think Bernard has shown more already imo.
