If you look at the post I originally was quoting, youd see I was talking about Lookman, not Bernard.

His first touch is very naughty.

Personally would be really interested in seeing Sigurdsson given a break, Bernard in his place, Richarlison on the left and probably DCL up top. Gylfi is playing very well individually but I have a hunch he's not actually that good at making players around him/the attack as a whole function well, which is important as a 10...may be wrong but I'd be curious to see

I agree on maybe resting Gylfi, but not for the same reason. I think Gylfi is great at bringing others into play.

His three defence-splitting passes the other day suggest otherwise though, even though I don't think he had his best game for us.

Bernard has never really played as a 10 though, at least not on a consistent basis.

Also, at the moment Gylfi doesn't really play as a 10. He plays as a second striker, so we are able to press in a 4-4-2 system and then when we have the ball he drops back to the 10 position.

I can't really see Bernard offering that physicality in that role.

But it's definitely an option to have.

Not when you´ve got Walcott on the other flank who looks like he´s given up on his love of football again. They´re both good players but they´re not hurting teams like we need them to.
