I find it very interesting that Silva has come out in favour of some players over the summer like Tosun, Walcott, Holgate, Lookman. Yet on others he has not said a word. No words in support of Siggurdson, Keane, Davies for example.

If Bernard signs then Siggurdson must surely be sweating on a place in that front line. Bernard won’t have turned down better clubs than us to sit on our bench and after Silva’s praise for Walcott and Tosun I doubt he’s dropping them to fit him in.

Yeah I said all summer Siggurdsson simply doesnt suit a Silva style side. I fully expect him to be a squad player for this season and out the door next if he wants first team football.

I rate Lookman hugely but he’s got years in him. Walcott can still provide 10-15 prem goals from a wide position for a couple of seasons at least. May as well make the most of him and allow Lookman to take over when Theo starts to decline.

Walcott off the bench. I’d just rather give Lookman the minutes. Think he can be massive for us. He has an unknown ceiling, we know what Walcott can do.

Genuinely think that’s madness tbh. Walcott was one of our only good players last season , Lookman has done nothing for us and hasn’t been fancied by 3 managers. Points are so hard to come by in the PL that he’s not worth the punt
