Aye I think some fans now focus on the transfer fees more than the player themselves.

Like the point of him playing nearly 70 games in a a calendar year was overlooked because his form dropped after Christmas....

Bernard is at least 50m player in today's market. This could be the best transfer business we've ever done. Even if we have a poor season and he wants off, we're still quids in by selling him next year. Hopefully he, along with our other signings, contribute to us having a good season and making a good challenge for the top six. Let's get this one over the line.
