Beni Baningime - Now of Hearts

He played well tonight. Celtic were poor again , they have some real problems and their board has a lot to answer for.

Man of the match, just look at this report:

"Beni Baningime was named man of the match on debut tonight for Hearts.

He won more tackles and got possession back more times than any other player on the pitch tonight. He was everywhere.

He also made more successful passes than any of his team-mates. Looks a really good signing."

Quick get him back!!! ?

Man of the Match apparently against Celtic today.
I know it's only Scottish football, but possibly another one who should have achieved more here , and progressed into the first team more regularly. Who knows ? . Perhaps something wrong at our place ?

He played 12 games for us and looked good.

Bizarre how he didnt break through...he looked better than Schneiderlin, Delph and several others.

He'll be one of the best in Scotland if he plays the way he did in our first team.

I think the problem with Baningime was his use of the ball. Good ball winner but if you want to break the top 6 your DM needs to be better on the ball. There were a few times I thought he might have deserved a chance but he obviously wasn't doing it in training. If he does well at Hearts maybe he'll get another chance in England.

Think it was more to do with his reading of the game and positional play. He's been seen as slow to react to things. Can battle and win a ball, but the big part of a DM is to be at the right place at the right time.

I wouldn’t agree with that. The reason he wins the ball back often is because of his positional play. As alluded to above he never made it here down to his ability on the ball but frankly I don’t care much for that as we severely lacked a ball winner.

He will be a good signing for Hearts, and probably needed to leave on a permanent. I am surprised more teams in the championship didn't come and have a look at him to be honest.

Over a full 90? He'd be still with us if that were true. Gana was awful on the ball for the most part for example. Docoure isn't much either.
