Beni Baningime - Now of Hearts

I don't know what point you're trying to make is? I never said we should have kept him this year just that he should have had more chances over the last few seasons.

It wasn't just his ball work that was an issue. If it was he would've either got more game time, or found another club easier.

Sure he should've been given more of a shot, but when you look at academy players that stay or breakthrough like Kenny, Davies, and Gordon...they all have strengths that outweigh weaknesses to be given more chances. Especially how bad our midfield is.

I was at Tynecastle Park last night. I thought Beni was exceptional; one of best debuts I’ve seen for a while.

His positional sense was magnificent, winning the ball tenaciously, and distributed the ball very well.

By all accounts, he’s had a stop/start career to date but sometimes a player just needs and then finds the right fit. Hearts are a fan base that worships their players if they give 100%. The great Alex Young would testify to that.

Victor showed promise up until he got that bad injury at Newcastle. Rodwell, another well over hyped up player who achieved not a lot, (1 Premier League title with city). I think he was on 40K a week with Sunderland in League 1, played a part in their on going financial crisis.

That wasn’t the question. You asked what return we got on investment. As I said, Anichebe played a lot of games. Rodwell may have been hyped up but we got a lot of money for him.

He’s a weird story. Always showed well when he played but then never played again. No one can explain exactly what the problem was but he just wasn’t rated for some reason. Hope he keeps playing well.
Think that injury he sustained when he started to break through really hampered his chances from there. Shame really.

Beni was absolutely outstanding again yesterday vs Aberdeen. ?????

If he keeps it up...and I hope he does...we'll probably end up paying £30M to buy him back...its the Everton way
