I like him,
Not helped the constant changing of systems and personal. But the situation we’re in. A bid to double our money, we’d have to take it

I think the problem is he's not tall or commanding enough to be a centre back, nor good enough going forward to be a fullback.

I fear his best position is in a back three but absolutely detest that formation at Everton.

I think the window is closing if the club intends to move him on for a profit. As you say, he doesn't look like he has the tools to be a centre-back.

The way things are, though, I'd be tempted to just forget about the fee and keep him around as a utility man. He's decent cover in a number of positions, and we're always short somewhere.

I've read Frank's ideal formation is a 3 at the back, in which case, surrounded by two competent CB's he could be very good.

I just hate 3 at the back, never worked well for us but when done right it's as good as any. But agreed, I think his adaptability to any position at the back is priceless really in terms of building a squad so i'd keep him.

Godfrey is very good one one one. I think if Lampard goes with 3 at the back then clearly we need defenders with superior and different skill sets than what were seeing currently.

However, i think Godfrey slots in at Right sided centre back. Kyle Walker was always a good player but only came into the very top bracket once he reached about 26...Godfrey has another 2 seasons before hes that age.

I'd probably refrain from comparing Godfrey to players as good as Walker. And I'm not sure what you're on about with 26, Walker was a regular in CL level Spurs sides at 22. Frankly disrespectful to put players like Godfrey in the same conversation.

Yeah agree, Frank's ideal formation being a back three sounds disastrous.

That slow half arsed passing around the back and needing to take 3 touches to control a ball that's the speed of a slug need to be knocked right on the head. Him, Keane, Pickford are footballing criminals when it comes to having their own 9 touch and pass game.
