For a first season for us he has in the main been decent. Not great at times and still lots to learn but I think we can all agree he is certainly going to be a stalwart for years to come

Honestly, the more I watch this lad the more I feel that in the future, he could turn out to be a really decent defensive midfielder. I know some may strongly disagree.

He’s quick, he can go forward and track back quickly , comfortable in possession , doesn’t look fazed when surrounded by opposition, a good passer of the ball particularly his assist at West Ham and can make a great tackle.

No shot. He's not a good fullback with the ball.

Southgate surely must have been impressed today

@Eggs think you'll win your euros bet or will Southgate play it safe?

....I wondered why Southgate was there & could only think it was an ideal opportunity to compare Godfrey & Coady (Keane). The big advantage Godfrey has is his versatility, allowing Southgate cover more than one position if he’s uncertain elsewhere.

I can understand Mings being selected, I like him myself but I’d have Godfrey ahead of Coady (and Keane). The big doubt is Godfrey hasn’t been selected for a squad as yet. I reckon it’s more unlikely than likely but he might be next in the queue if there’s an unfortunate injury to somebody.
