I genuinely think our uptick in form after the slump is due to Godfrey. He is an actual lockdown defender. Don’t think anyone has made a bigger impact since he started at left back. It also allows us to advance Digne further forward.

I mean he's not a fullback so even if he was great tonight defensively, and before you say he was I disagree, I'm not even sure how much it matters because at some point he's gotta move to the middle.
