Also CB is his position and the right side of a back 3 is still a CB type role.

£25m seems a little steep I’m not going to lie

I said it at the time and after the last few weeks I still believe we should have spent this on another forward/winger option instead.

It is very early days to write this lad off though.

I agree with that. The whole thing is completely different. But things like diving in to a tackle and getting dribbled to force the diving in translate.

....lacks finesse and is clearly raw but we have to get him into a conventional CB position. This defensive unit continue to concede and we wont score 3 goals every game.

He actually reminds me lots of Martin Keown. He’ll be our first choice CB given a run of games.

He was fine today apart from the pen, which to be fair was a lovely bit of skill from RLC. No need to panic

As I said what concerns me is he was objectively bad last year. It isn't unheard of for a player to be bad at first in the PL and then turn out very good later, but I wouldn't say it is the norm either.
